What program do you use to see clients?
We use a HIPPA-Compliant website called Zoom or Simply Practice to meet with clients virtually. It’s easy to use and does not require you to login or download anything. It’s best to test it a few minutes before your appointment. You just click on the link, and you’ll be in the waiting room.
How do I know if coaching is right for me?
For most people, it’s simply a preference of whether you want the ability to meet with your therapist in person, or whether you prefer the convenience of online coaching. There are some situations when we think our online coaching services aren't the best option. We’ll talk through this with you. Then, if you are located near our physical offices, we are happy to meet with you in person. If you are located farther away, we will help you find a therapist and services locally to meet your needs.
How does confidentiality work?
Everything that is said during a session is completely confidential with three exceptions-- 1) if a child is in danger 2) if you are in danger of harming yourself 3) if you are planning on harming another person.
How long does it last?
The length of time varies greatly between clients and what issues they are working through, including how long someone would like to spend in therapy. Our goal is to get you to a place where you are stable, empowered and consistently applying tools to maintain your freedom. The minimum number we typically see clients for is 5 sessions, if they are stable and dealing with a specific issue.
What is your cancellation policy?
We require 24 hours notice for cancellations. If not, you will be charged for the session. Payment is required at the time of service, unless otherwise arranged. Due to the high demand for evening sessions, if several sessions of yours have been cancelled in the past, we may not be able to offer you an evening slot. We accept HSA accounts, all major credit cards, cash or personal checks.
My partner and I are having problems. Should we be in individual counseling or come together?
If you are concerned about your relationship, and you would both like to work with me, I would initially work with both of you together. After this work, if one of you would like to continue in individual sessions, I could work with only one of you. It is not helpful to move from individual into couple’s work with the same therapist because of potential trust issues.

We prioritize our clients by holding space for each person we see. When clients cancel an appointment, our clinicians offer that space to other clients who need an appointment that week. When clients cancel within 24-hours or no show, other clients miss out on an opportunity to be seen.
If you would like to cancel an appointment, we ask that you do so using the client portal access at least 24-hour notice. Anyone canceling an appointment with less than a 24-hour notice will be charged the full session fee.
We will charge the credit card on file for no shows and cancellations within 24-hours of scheduled session.
